Funding: EUR 60,000
Project Duration: April 14, 2025 – October 15, 2025

Project Goal:
The project aims to strengthen the legal response to gender-based and domestic violence (GBV/DV) in Georgia by ensuring survivor-centered justice, reinforcing strategic litigation, and addressing systemic shortcomings through court monitoring.
Project Objectives:
• Provide uninterrupted legal representation in strategic GBV/DV cases;
• Offer legal consultations to marginalized and underserved women and girls;
• Conduct court monitoring to assess victim protection and due process;
• Prepare and publish an analytical report evaluating the compliance of Georgian court practices with international human rights standards.
Through strategic litigation, the project will address femicide, sexual violence (including against minors), secondary victimization, violations of personal data and custody rights, and intersectional cases involving women with disabilities or minority backgrounds.
The court monitoring component will assess gaps in victim protection and procedural fairness.
