Young People from the Kakheti Region Held an Informational Meeting to Discuss Issues Affecting Them

Young people from the Lagodekhi and Kvareli municipalities gathered at the Leliani Adult Education Center for an informational meeting to exchange ideas about community issues.
Participants shared the challenges present in their multi-ethnic communities and discussed ways to address these issues.
Topics included education and development opportunities for youth, experiences related to human rights and equality, employment prospects, a safe environment, road infrastructure and water supply issues.
The participants also discussed joint educational and awareness initiatives for youth, which they plan to implement with their peers' involvement.
The informational meeting was made possible with partnership between Rights Georgia, Leliani Adult Education Center and the Akhalsofeli Youth Center. The action was financially supported by the European Union (EU) and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).
This collaboration aims to encourage youth participation in civic life in the Kakheti region, raise awareness of human rights at the local level, and support and implement youth initiatives.
